Dr. Amir Dastgah

Dr. Amir Dastgah received his undergraduate degree from the University of The Pacific in Stockton, California. He then attended San Francisco State University where he completed a post-baccalaureate in Biochemistry and Neuroscience. Dr. Dastgah earned his medical degree from California School of Podiatric Medicine and went on to complete four years of intense surgical training by some of the top doctors in the country.

Dr. Dastgah’s residency training began at Staten Island University Hospital (Long Island Jewish), which is not only the fifth largest hospital in New York City but is the largest limb salvage center throughout the five boroughs. Under the supervision of leading foot and ankle Orthopedic, Podiatric and reconstructive Plastic surgeons, and alongside other specialties, he developed an understanding of a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care. Being at a level-1 trauma center, as well as a state of the art wound care center, provided him with a high volume inpatient and outpatient management experience. His hard work earned him the coveted and prestigious chief resident position among his peers. For his fourth and final year of surgical training, Dr. Dastgah attended Beth Israel Medical Center-Mount Sinai/ Einstein School of Medicine in the heart of Manhattan, where he was again honored with the title of chief resident. Here he was able to further hone his surgical skills in the correction of various foot and ankle deformities. His rigorous, rare and extremely diverse four-year surgical residency training, which less than five percent of all podiatrists have, has provided him the opportunity to be exposed not only to all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, but all facets of medicine.

Dr. Dastgah specializes in all aspect of Podiatric Medicine and Adult Reconstructive Foot and Ankle surgery. Throughout his career, he has published throughout medical journals and presented at national conventions on topics of foot and ankle surgery. His training has allowed him the opportunity to be trained by world-renowned physicians and surgeons. He has been exposed to trauma of the foot and ankle, diabetic limb salvage, endoscopic and arthroscopic procedures, internal and external fixation techniques, as well as traditional reconstructive surgeries of the foot and ankle. Dr. Dastgah is always ready and eager to learn about the latest technological advances in the treatment of foot and ankle pathologies. He is affiliated with Good Samaritan Hospital, El Camino Medical Hospital Los Gatos and Washington Hospital in Fremont, California where he serves as the Chief of Podiatry and is also on staff at the Wound Care Center. Dr. Dastgah's interests are in treatments of foot and ankle arthritis, foot and ankle arthroscopy, osteochondral lesions of talus, brachymetatarsia, limb deformity correction, pediatric and adult flatfoot correction. As a personal trainer and avid soccer player, he enjoys treating all types of sports-related injuries. Dr. Dastgah is board certified and is an associate of The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a member of The American Board of Podiatric Medicine.

Dr. Sara Karamloo

Growing up on the East Coast, Dr. Sara Karamloo endured many injuries to the lower extremities on her journey to becoming a ballerina. The ultimate injury not only forced her into early retirement but turned her focus and passion for dance to the field of podiatry.

After graduating Magna Cum Laude in sociology and pre-medical studies from George Washington University in Washington, DC, she was subsequently accepted to Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. Here she received many scholarships for her academic achievements and was inducted into the Pi Delta National Podiatric Medical Honor Society. Dr. Karamloo completed one year of surgical residency at Kennedy Memorial Hospital (University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey), prior to completing an additional three years at Yale University Hospital in New Haven, CT.

Throughout her residency, Dr. Karamloo worked closely with world-renowned physicians and received training in all aspects of the foot and ankle medicine and surgery. Her training includes diabetic limb salvage, with an emphasis on Charcot reconstruction, plastic surgery techniques for wound coverage and reconstructive foot and ankle surgical techniques. She prides herself on providing the latest evidence-based medical treatments for her patients. Dr. Karamloo is affiliated with Good Samaritan Hospital, El Camino Hospital Los Gatos, Washington Hospital in Fremont, California and O'Connor Hospital where she is on staff at the Wound Care Center.

Dr. Karamloo is board certified and is an associate of The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a member of The American Board of Podiatric Medicine. She has published throughout various medical journals and is a regular medical contributor to the Foot Vitals website. Dr. Karamloo is eager to meet you and start you on the path to recovery and healing.

Dr. Warren M Johnson

Dr. Warren M Johnson is a Podiatry Specialist in Fremont, California. He graduated with honors from California College Podiatric Medicine in 1968. Having more than 50 years of diverse experiences, especially in PODIATRY, Dr. Warren M Johnson affiliates with Washington Hospital.

 

Dr. Lauren Singh

Dr. Lauren Singh grew up in Fremont, CA. She attended the University of California, San Diego and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology. Dr. Singh then received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, CA. She completed her medical school program with honors from the Pi Delta National Honors Society. She went on to complete a three year foot and ankle medicine and surgical residency program at the Kern Hospital in Warren, MI. Dr. Singh is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine as well as a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) and California Podiatric Medical Association (CPMA). Being a Bay Area native, she is excited to work at the San Jose Podiatric Surgery and Wound Center and serve the local community. She enjoys speaking with patients, learning about their concerns, and coming up with a mutual solution to address their health issues. Dr. Singh prides herself in using her training to help patients understand what is going on in their bodies and keeping up with latest options for addressing ailments. She looks forward to serving a diverse group of patients, as she speaks English, Hindi, and Punjabi. Her interests include painting, crafting, traveling, and spending time with her family. Specialties: all aspects of foot and ankle medicine and surgery, such as bunions, heel pain, orthotics, warts, ingrown toenails, and diabetic foot care.
